Southwark Council are seeking to recruit a Team Manager to join a well-managed team in Children Leaving Care. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their social worker staffing levels.



They pay close attention to looking after their Social Workers and strive to ensure they feel supported and welcomed in their roles. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable working environment with experienced leadership, whilst receiving regular supervision, training opportunities and career progression.



The responsibilities of the Team Manager includes:



  • Lead and manage a team of 3 social Workers, An experienced Practitioner (Lead in EET) and 2 Personal advisers

  • Will understand the importance of using data to manage performance - understanding that data and performance tell us about children's experiences and journeys. You must equally understand that the quality of the written work and relationships with children, families and partners is of the utmost importance

  • Southwark Council is recruiting a 16+ Team Manager to lead the 16+ Service on our continuing improvement journey

  • You will manage a team in a sector leading co-designed 16+ Service - working with children, young people, staff and stakeholders.

  • There has been significant investment in this service with DFE innovation funding, work with Catch22, a developing Corporate Parenting agenda across the Council and the recent appointment of new integrated specialist posts, additional Personal Advisers and Social Workers.



To ideal candidate will have:



  • Social Work England registration

  • Eligibility to work in the UK

  • Social Work qualified (MA/BSc/DPSW/CQSW/MSc/BA)
