Occupational Therapist

This is a fantastic opportunity to work as an Occupational Therapist at Brent Council. You will be joining a well-structured and dynamic team to provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and Adult Social Care service provision for residents with substantial physical disabilities. You will be working in conjunction with the service user formulate a plan to enhance their independence through provision of equipment or through home adaptations. The needs of the carer are also to be carefully considered, assessed and where eligible addressed. Our client offers a full-time contract with a fair and manageable caseload and further training in your portfolio.

Main Duties include;

• Enable them to identify their needs and plan support to meet those needs using the full range of options, seeking advice and support where appropriate.


• Carrying out assessments


• Reablement, equipment and adaptations


• Carrying out moving and handling assessments


• Working in locality team with Social Workers and Occupational Therapists

To Be Successful;

Our client has requested that the successful candidate has previous experience as an Occupational Therapist within the Social Care setting. The successful candidate will have experience of intermediate care to work alongside an in-house Reablement team and local domiciliary care agencies, as well as Manual Handling, Major Adaptations, Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you). The candidate must be HCPC Registered with a full OT Qualification.
