Occupational Therapist

This is a fantastic opportunity to work as an Occupational Therapist in Midsomer. You will be joining a well-structured and dynamic team in the Reablement service. The Reablement service is a short-term service which supports and works with people, either in their own home or in Residential or Nursing Homes. The aim of the service is to maximize and maintain independence through the provision of rehabilitation and support. Our client offers a full-time contract with a fair and manageable caseload and further training in your portfolio.

Main Duties include;

• Carrying out assessments and consultations with service users


• Prevention of admission to hospital


• Supporting discharge from hospital


• Carrying out planned intervention


• Stabilizing Care Plans and implementing rehabilitation programmes


• Working with individuals to regain as much independence as possible


• Determining the appropriate level and type of service for any on-going needs

To Be Successful;

Our client has requested that the successful candidate has previous experience as an Occupational Therapist with discharge to assess or prevention of admission, Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you). The candidate must be HCPC Registered with a full OT Qualification.
