Senior Practitioner - Referral & Assessment Team

Southwark Council are seeking to recruit a Senior Practitioner to join a well-managed team in Referral & Assessment. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their social worker staffing levels.

The responsibilities of the Senior Practitioner includes:

• Undertaking initial investigations


• Undertaking core investigations


• Operating under the remit of the Children's Act, 1989


• Managing a high caseload


• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case files


• Contributing to the duty rota


• Supporting junior members of the team

To ideal candidate will have:

• Social Work England registration


• Eligibility to work in the UK


• Social Work qualified (MA/BSc/DPSW/CQSW/MSc/BA)
