We are looking to recruit an experienced Service Manager within a MASH This is a new innovative service which has received significant investment to ensure the responses to Children that are vulnerable to Exploitation receive the best possible service. This is a great opportunity to join a team with a good Ofsted rated performance within Merton Council.

Main duties include:

    • Quality assurance of cases

    • Developing a new service and helping to grow policies and processes

    • Have direct line management responsibility for 1 Team Manager

    • Be responsible in coordinating multi-agency responses to children and ensuring both statutory and non-statutory partners are working in synergy to support effective safety planning and disruption

    • Take the lead on developing pathways, processes and policies relating to Exploitation

    • Ensure best practice is promoted in tackling exploitation

    • Have responsibility for children who are missing from home or absent from placement and ensure safe plans are in place to promote their return

    • Work closely with locality Social Work Teams who will hold overall case responsibility for children vulnerable to Exploitation. The Hub will offer a complimentary and co-working role to existing social work teams

    • Auditing of cases

    • Child centred practices which include direct work and participation

To be successful:

For this role you will need to have prior experience at Service Manager level within a Childrens Locality Team and educated to Degree Level IE: BA Hons, BSc, DIPSW, CCETSW. You will also need to have the Eligibility to Work in the UK with previous experience practising as a Service Manager within a similar team.
