Private Sector Housing Enforcement Officer

Have you had experience working as a Housing Enforcement Officer? Have you previously dealt with Private Sector Landlord? Do you have knowledge of the HMO issuing process? My client is excited to recruit for an experienced Private Sector Housing Enforcement Officer. They are looking for someone who has a deep understanding of the policies surrounding Additional and Mandatory HMO applications.

Main Duties:

• To ensure compliance with statutory requirements through investigation, inspection, and property Licensing.


• Achieve Council and service unit objectives by improving the living conditions for households privately renting


• Ensure non-compliant landlords are enforced against using the most appropriate legislation.


• Carry out Housing and Public Health related visits such as pest control, drainage, nuisance and compliance with Licensing conditions.


• Respond to complaints about poor property conditions and housing related nuisance in the private housing sector using a risk-based approach
